La Casa de Mis Recuerdos (The House of My Memories) epitomizes the gracious charm of Oaxaca that draws visitors from all over the world.

Behind the walls that that separate it from the street, the property is filled with flowers and greenery, and the scent of jasmine fills the air. From the moment you enter the tranquil courtyard, you will find yourself immersed in a world filled with flower covered walls, bougainvillea, hibiscus and lilies

The flood of color and sweet scent is enhanced by the sound of singing birds and happily bubbling fountains. Conveniently located in the Historic Center of the city, and only three blocks from the Santo Domingo church, La Casa de Mis Recuerdos is one of the oldest in the city according to 19th century blueprints and maps.

At La Casa de Mis Recuerdos you can get a taste of Oaxaca’s cultural and artistic expressions in the form of pottery, woodcarvings, and beautiful indigenous textiles. But what guests always remember the most about their stay with us are the traditional Oaxacan breakfasts prepared with all the love and warmth of our hosts and staff.

Our kitchen is traditional and very Oaxacan. The dishes that are prepared here are rich in flavor and aroma, and their preparation is a joyous ritual that touches the soul as well as the senses.

To complete the magic of your stay, we offer you a delicious three-course Oaxacan breakfast made from recipes that have been passed down in our family over the years. Breakfast begins with a fruit plate accompanied by a glass of freshly squeezed juice and a tray of sweet artisanal breads and rolls. The main course changes from day to day and can range from huevos rancheros to tamales with mole negro. Wonderful cups of Oaxacan coffee or foamed hot chocolate are served throughout the meal. Although the main courses are traditional Oaxacan dishes, guests who have special dietary needs are graciously accommodated.
